Please do not submit bank statements, tax returns, tax workpapers, payroll records, POS exports, inventory exports, seed-to-sale records, QBO files, GL exports, passwords, EFTPS PINs, or other sensitive financial, operational, compliance-related, or confidential business records through a general website form or ordinary email.
We will confirm scope, engagement terms, and a secure intake path before reviewing records. Client records should be transmitted only through agreed channels or secure systems after Kind Ledger specifically requests them and provides appropriate instructions.
4. Information collected automatically
When you visit our website, certain technical information may be processed automatically through hosting systems, server logs, essential cookies, and similar technologies used to operate and secure the site. This may include:

This information may help us operate the website, maintain security, diagnose technical issues, and evaluate basic website performance. We are not currently using Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or broad marketing-tracking tools on the website.
5. Cookies and analytics
Our website may use essential cookies or similar technologies needed for basic website operation, security, performance, and form functionality. We are not currently using advertising pixels or broad marketing-tracking tools on the website.
If we add analytics, advertising pixels, or additional tracking tools in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and any applicable cookie-consent settings to reflect those practices.

7. Marketing and communications
If you contact us, submit a form, request information, or otherwise provide contact information, we may use that information to respond to you and send business-related communications.
We may send follow-up communications related to your inquiry, requested information, Diagnostic interest, or Kind Ledger services. The public Contact form does not automatically enroll visitors in a marketing list. If Kind Ledger uses marketing communications in the future, you may opt out by using the unsubscribe instructions in the message, replying with an opt-out request, or contacting us at angela@kindledger.com.
If you opt out of marketing communications, we may still send transactional, relationship, legal, security, or service-related communications where appropriate.
8. How we share information
We do not sell sensitive client records or financial records. We may share information in limited circumstances, such as:
Service providers and vendors
We may share information with vendors that help us operate the website, host data, process forms, provide email delivery, maintain cloud storage, support cookie-consent tools, or provide other business services.
Professional advisors
We may share information with accountants, attorneys, tax advisors, insurance providers, consultants, or other professional advisors as needed for business, legal, tax, insurance, or professional purposes.
Client-authorized coordination
We may coordinate with your CPA, tax preparer, tax attorney, attorney, consultant, fractional CFO, or other advisor when you authorize or request that coordination.
Legal compliance and protection
We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, lawful request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, security, property, or legal interests.
Business transfers
If Kind Ledger is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate protections where applicable.
Aggregated or de-identified information
We may use or share aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify you or your business.
9. Third-party tools and services
The website and our business operations may use third-party tools or service providers, such as website hosting providers, WordPress, Elementor, contact form tools, Elementor Site Mailer / Email Deliverability, Microsoft 365, cloud storage providers, cookie-consent tools, payment or invoicing systems if used, and social or professional platforms such as LinkedIn.
These third parties may process information under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control those third-party services and are not responsible for the privacy practices, security, availability, content, or policies of third-party websites, platforms, or services that we do not control.
10. Client records and engagement-specific confidentiality
Confidentiality obligations for client work are governed by the applicable engagement agreement, nondisclosure agreement, secure intake process, or other written agreement between Kind Ledger and the client. This Privacy Policy does not replace those agreements.
When client records are provided under an engagement, we use them for the agreed scope of work, such as diagnostic review, cleanup, close, reporting, reconciliation, cash visibility, inventory/COGS support, tax-readiness coordination, or related accounting and finance services. Client records should be transmitted only through agreed secure channels after Kind Ledger provides specific instructions—not through general website forms or ordinary email.
11. Data retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including responding to inquiries, managing relationships, providing services, maintaining business records, complying with legal and accounting obligations, resolving disputes, maintaining security, and honoring opt-out requests.
At the time this Privacy Policy was last updated, general inquiries submitted through the public Contact form were configured to be delivered to Kind Ledger by email and not stored in Elementor’s WordPress Submissions area. Site Mailer / Email Deliverability may retain limited email-delivery metadata according to its settings and policies. Message-body logging is disabled for this workflow.
Client records may be retained according to the applicable engagement agreement, professional obligations, legal requirements, document-retention practices, and reasonable business needs. We may retain limited information after a deletion request when retention is necessary to comply with law, protect rights, complete a transaction, maintain security, resolve disputes, or honor an opt-out request.
12. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. However, no website, email system, storage system, or transmission method is completely secure.
Please do not send sensitive financial, tax, payroll, POS, inventory, QBO/GL, password, EFTPS, seed-to-sale, compliance, or other operational records through general website forms or ordinary email. If records are needed, Kind Ledger will confirm an appropriate secure intake method after scope and engagement terms are clear.
13. Your choices and privacy requests
You may contact us to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or other action regarding information we maintain about you, subject to legal, professional, contractual, security, and business-recordkeeping limitations. You may also ask us to stop sending marketing communications.
To make a privacy request, contact us at angela@kindledger.com. We may need to verify your identity and business relationship before responding. Depending on where you are located, you may have additional privacy rights under applicable law. We will honor applicable rights to the extent required.
14. Minors
The website is intended for adults and business users. It is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through the website, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
15. External links
Our website may link to third-party websites, platforms, resources, social media pages, or other services. We do not control those third-party services and are not responsible for their content, security, privacy practices, availability, or terms. You should review the privacy policies and terms of any third-party service you use.
