ABOUT KIND LEDGER

A defined role between your systems, your team, and the close.

Kind Ledger focuses on Cannabis management accounting and controller support. We trace financial information across records, document what can be supported, and take responsibility for agreed reconciliation and close work so the next action does not get lost between people or systems.

Know what the numbers support.

FOUNDER-LED DELIVERY
Angela Cvengros, founder of Kind Ledger.

Angela Cvengros

Founder and Cannabis Finance Advisor

Angela leads Kind Ledger’s scope, accounting judgment, coordination, and deliverable review. The work begins with the records and a clear question, then moves into separately agreed correction or recurring controller support where needed.

When specialist support is needed, responsibilities and access are agreed before work begins. Client management and designated professional advisors retain their own decisions and obligations.

THE KIND LEDGER APPROACH

An explanation is useful. Follow-through makes it operational.

A report can identify a difference without resolving who should investigate it, approve a correction, or check it next month. Kind Ledger’s role is to connect those steps within an agreed engagement.

WHY KIND LEDGER EXISTS

Trace the number before accepting the explanation.

We identify the relevant source records, compare the systems and schedules, and distinguish supportable conclusions from assumptions. When evidence is incomplete, that limitation remains visible.

HOW THE WORK STAYS GROUNDED

Give the next action a clear owner.

We define the work Kind Ledger owns, the information and approvals needed from others, and how completion will be checked. Recurring engagements include an agreed close cadence and exception follow-up, not only periodic advice.

OPERATING PRINCIPLES

Evidence first. Agreed responsibilities. Visible exceptions.

The goal is not to make every number look final. It is to make clear what the records support and what still needs attention.

PRINCIPLE 01

Reconcile the same question.

Periods, entities, quantities, values, and timing must be understood before comparing totals. We document the basis of the comparison instead of forcing unlike numbers to match.

PRINCIPLE 02

Keep the open item visible.

An unresolved difference stays in the exception record with the missing evidence, next action, and responsible owner. A reporting deadline does not turn an unsupported assumption into a supported result.

PRINCIPLE 03

Keep professional roles clear.

Kind Ledger owns agreed management-accounting work. The client retains business decisions and approvals. Tax, legal, licensing, and assurance responsibilities stay with the designated qualified professionals.

How Kind Ledger uses AI and automation.

Kind Ledger uses automation and AI selectively to improve efficiency in appropriate non-confidential workflows. Client confidential information is never entered into generative-AI tools.

Reconciliations, conclusions, and client deliverables remain subject to human review, source-evidence validation, and defined client-data controls. Client records are shared only through the agreed secure intake process after scope and engagement terms are confirmed.

START WITH A DEFINED QUESTION

Put the evidence and the next step in the same conversation.

Tell us which number is being questioned, which systems disagree, or which item stays open after close. We will confirm fit and scope before any records are requested.

Share only general, non-sensitive context. Do not send records or login details through public forms or ordinary email. Secure records intake is confirmed separately after scope and engagement terms are agreed.
