Terms of Use
Effective Date: August 13, 2026 | Last Updated: October 19, 2026
These Terms of Use explain the rules for using the Kind Ledger LLC website.
Using this website does not create a client relationship, replace a signed engagement agreement, or provide accounting, tax, legal, regulatory, licensing, investment, or financial advice for your specific situation.
1. Agreement to These Terms
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website operated by Kind Ledger LLC (“Kind Ledger,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By accessing or using this website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
2. Website Owner and Contact Information
This website is owned and operated by:
Kind Ledger LLC
Email: angela@kindledger.com
Website: kindledger.com
3. Website Content Is for General Information
The information on this website is provided for educational, informational, and business-development purposes.
Our website may discuss topics such as:
- Cannabis management accounting
- Cannabis Finance Control Assessments
- Reconciliation across systems
- Cleanup and close stabilization
- Inventory and cost of goods sold
- Financial controls
- Cash planning
- Management reporting
- Records prepared for designated professional advisors
This content is general information. It should not be treated or relied upon as accounting, tax, legal, regulatory, licensing, investment, or financial advice for your specific situation.
4. Professional Roles and Service Boundaries
Website content does not provide advice about your specific circumstances.
When separately engaged, Kind Ledger provides only the management-accounting and controller services described in the signed written agreement.
Kind Ledger does not directly provide:
- Income-tax preparation or advice
- Tax-return or sales-tax filing
- Routine bookkeeping
- Accounts payable or receivable processing
- Payroll administration
- Legal or licensing compliance services
- Audits or other attest services
We may reconcile related accounts, prepare supporting schedules, and coordinate agreed-upon work with your designated professional advisors. This work does not replace their responsibilities or guarantee any tax, profit, cash-flow, financing, audit, compliance, or regulatory outcome.
Management keeps responsibility for business decisions and approvals.
Consult the appropriate qualified professional about tax positions, legal duties, licensing, assurance, investment advice, or any matter outside Kind Ledger’s agreed scope.
5. Website Use Does Not Create a Client Relationship
Visiting this website, submitting a general inquiry, reviewing or downloading a resource, or exchanging preliminary messages does not create a client relationship with Kind Ledger.
A client relationship begins only after Kind Ledger and the client sign a separate written engagement agreement.
Until that agreement is signed, Kind Ledger has not agreed to provide services. Do not rely on website content or preliminary communications as professional advice or as a commitment to perform work.
6. A Signed Engagement Agreement Controls the Work
If you engage Kind Ledger, the signed engagement agreement and related written documents will govern the work.
These documents may include:
- A statement of work
- A proposal
- A nondisclosure agreement
- Secure intake instructions
- Other written terms
Together, these documents may define the scope, fees, deliverables, timeline, confidentiality obligations, client responsibilities, access requirements, and other engagement terms.
An unaccepted proposal does not create an engagement or authorize Kind Ledger to begin work.
If these Terms conflict with a signed engagement agreement, the signed engagement agreement controls for that engagement.
Controller support and process ownership apply only to responsibilities expressly accepted in writing. Management remains responsible for its decisions, spending authority, source records, tax positions, and legal obligations.
Corrections, ongoing support, forecasting, and reporting beyond an Assessment are separately scoped unless the signed agreement expressly includes them.
7. Cannabis Industry Considerations
Kind Ledger works with licensed cannabis operators and related professional partners.
Cannabis businesses operate within complex federal, state, and local requirements involving taxation, licensing, banking, accounting, inventory, and reporting.
You are responsible for complying with all laws, regulations, licenses, permits, tax obligations, reporting duties, banking requirements, inventory rules, and other obligations that apply to your business.
Website content is not a substitute for advice from your CPA, tax preparer, tax attorney, attorney, licensing consultant, compliance advisor, or another qualified professional.
8. No Guarantees
Kind Ledger does not guarantee:
- Tax savings
- Increased profits
- Improved cash flow
- Financing results
- Audit results
- Regulatory results
- Business outcomes
- Any specific result from using the website or its content
Reconciliation, source-support validation, resolution of agreed-upon exceptions, financial-control work, and action planning describe services that may be performed within a defined scope. They do not guarantee an outcome or certify every financial control.
Any estimate requires a reasonable basis in the available records and remains subject to stated assumptions and limitations.
A difference is not automatically a loss, available cash, tax benefit, or recoverable amount.
9. Sensitive Records and Secure Intake
Do not submit confidential financial, operational, or personal information through a general website form or ordinary email.
This includes:
- Bank statements
- Tax returns or tax workpapers
- Payroll files
- Point-of-sale exports
- Inventory or seed-to-sale records
- QuickBooks Online or general-ledger files
- Account details
- Compliance records
- Other confidential information
Before requesting engagement records, Kind Ledger will confirm the scope, engagement terms, and a specifically approved secure intake process.
Use only that approved process to share records. Ordinary email does not become an approved channel after a secure intake process has been arranged.
Never send passwords or EFTPS PINs.
10. Acceptable Website Use
Please use the website responsibly.
You may not:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the website, systems, accounts, data, or networks

12. Resources, Downloads, and Educational Materials
Kind Ledger may publish articles, guides, checklists, downloads, resource pages, email content, and similar educational materials.
These resources are provided for general informational purposes only.

We may decline an inquiry, request additional information, recommend another provider, or require a signed engagement agreement before providing services.
15. Examples and Testimonials
When published, client case notes and testimonials describe actual work or experiences that have been reviewed and approved for public use.
Identifying details may be removed or generalized to protect confidentiality. However, the work and stated results must still be accurately represented.
Fictional or synthetic teaching examples will be labeled where they appear. They will not be presented as client testimonials, actual engagements, or evidence of client results.
Examples based on client information require permission and a separate review of what may be publicly disclosed.
Examples, testimonials, and case notes do not guarantee that another business will achieve similar results.
Any published result should include the context and material limitations needed to understand it.
